Class 1

Welcome to Year 1

Mini Topic:Chinese New Year.

This week the children have been learning about Chinese New Year. Oscar’s mum came in to tell us about the celebration and everyone tasted Chinese food and received a red envelope with a gold coin. We made Chinese lanterns and painted roosters using forks. We also created our own Dragon Dance. See photos in our gallery.

Our next topic is: Where We Worship.

In this topic we will look at features and symbols in church and compare different places of worship. 800px-Wheldrake_07-01-07_Church
